Mike Mott

Mike Mott has been the pastor of Seminole First Baptist Church since June of 1999, coming from St. Augustine, FL where he served as the pastor of Moultrie Baptist Church for over 17 years. He was born in Knoxville, TN and grew up in Jacksonville, FL where he came to know the Lord when he was 8 years old at Terry Parker Baptist Church. He graduated from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Stetson University in Deland, FL, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Pastor Mike has been married to Marilyn since June of 1978. They met while they were students at Stetson University. Marilyn grew up in Brazil where her parents served as missionaries with what was then known as the Foreign Mission Board (now the International Mission Board) of the Southern Baptist Convention. She has retired from teaching in the public school system and is now loving her new job of being a “Nana.”They have two adult children: Brandon is a CPA, married to Caitlin, and living in Sarasota, FL, with their daughter Claire. Lauren is married to Dan and works as a physical therapist in Seminole, with their daughters Olivia and Sophia. Both Mike and Marilyn love being the grandparents to three beautiful girls!
